ITSA manufactures interior components for SWT trains

ITSA has been awarded a contract by Siemens to supply interior components for 30 five-car electric multiple-units, which is part of a afive-year plan to increase capacity of the suburban network developed by the South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance.

The Desiro City EMUs would be similar to the units being produced for the Thameslink route and deliveries are scheduled to run from 2017 to early 2018.

The contract awarded to ITSA covers the design, manufacturing and delivery of the Door Pocket Covers and Interior Endwall Panelling System, along with the supply of spare parts.

This project confirms the good relationship between Siemens and ITSA, and establishes the expertise of ITSA in the UK market.
